The Rosen Republic was a country in East Aya from 1871 to 1983. It was the successor state to the Rosen Communist Union, which Republicans overthrew during the First Rosen Civil War. The Rosen Republic gradually declined over its existence, from an economic boom in the late 1800s to crippling stagnation throughout the 1970s. Throughout its existence, its political, economic, and ideological rival was the communist Sayan Union. Both countries were considered superpowers and exerted influence across the global stage. Widespread poverty and income inequality lead to the Second Rosen Civil War and the Republic’s collapse. The Republic’s ideals and policies were continued mainly through the Democratic-Nationalist Alliance, which lost to Socialist Party forces in 1984.
